Join this Sunday ride option from Desert Breeze Park located between McClintock and Rural, Chandler Blvd. and Ray along Desert Breeze Parkway (north parking lot). EVERY FIFTH SUNDAY, Ride the RAM (Ride around Maricopa)
New to cycling? A little out of shape? Recovering from the Saturday Ride? Every month that has a fifth Sunday there will be a no-drop, social ride in and around the City of Maricopa. Start time for the January 329th rode is 9:00 AM. Easy to moderate pace from 25 to 40 miles depending on heat, weather and the condition of the attending riders. Scenic country rides with points of interest like a Hindu Temple and John Wayne's mansion. The ride starts in Maricopa at the new Park and Ride parking lot with covered parking. Count 6 stop lights into Maricopa and about 1/4 mile farther look for the Shell gas station on the right. Across the street is the park and ride. Start times and locations may vary, but are generally 6:30 a.m. in June and July, with most rides starting at Corpus Christi Church (extreme north parking lot) in Ahwatukee. 25 to 30 mile road rides, average pace 12 to 15mph, no drop. Start at 8:00 AM from Kiwanis Park. Note the change of start time, as we roll into our spring season. We head to South Mountain, with route options of 24 miles with a bit of gentle climbing, 38 miles with moderate climbing, or 39 miles with lots of climbing. Meet at 8:00 AM at Desert Breeze Park in Chandler (located on Desert Breeze Blvd. southeast of Ray & Rural Rds). Super Bowl Sunday - what better way to get ready for food and drinks but a ride early in the morning. Tour de Lindsay with mileage options of 40 or 54 flat miles. March 10 (Sat) 20th Annual Mining Country Challenge
Climb. Climb. Then climb some more. That's the Mining Country Challenge. It's not for everyone, but if you have aspirations to really put your climbing abilities to the test, this is the ride for you. By the end of the 96 mile ride you'll have climbed 7000 feet. The ride starts in Superior and travels through Miami and Globe before embarking on a climb through the Pinal Mountains and a long descent into Winkleman. After Winkleman you'll climb up past the Ray Mine and return to Superior. This will also be a out-and-back metric century option (66 miles) that will go from Superior to Winkleman and return. April 14-15 (Sat-Sun) Bike MS: Ride the Vortex – Sedona Verde Valley
Join the National MS Society on April 14 & 15, 2012 for Bike MS: Ride the Vortex - Sedona Verde Valley, a two-day, fully-catered cycling event with route options for every level of cyclist, ranging from 30 to 100 miles starting and finishing at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds. The ride is a fundraising event to support the Arizona Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Visit National Multiple Sclerosis Society for more ride and registration information.

April 27-29 (Fri-Sun) 29th Annual Answer to the Challenge
At 325 miles, Answer to the Challenge will confront you with three consecutive days of century riding. Along the way you'll be asked to do over 22,000 feet of climbing and the weather can range anywhere from cold and wet to hot and dry - and probably will. The Answer will take you from Scottsdale to Strawberry on day one, over Mingus Mountain to Prescott on day two, and then 127 miles back to Scottsdale on day three.
