FOR SALE: Colnago C40
54cm Colnago, "C40", full carbon frame handmade in Italy (not one of the later Taiwanese bikes). It's in the Mapei team colors. The gears and brakes etc. are all Dura Ace, 10 speed. I upped it to 10 speed in 2008. The chain is a Wipperman, stainless, with the quick-release link. Stem and bars are TTT. Bottle cages are carbon. The computer is a VDO. There is a choice of wheels for the buyer, both Hed (Armstrong's choice!) - see pictures of the deep rim "Alps" for speed or TT's, or the "Bastogne" for regular riding and climbing. Both are very light, and tough. Hubs are Hed. Headset is Chris King.

I will not be including the saddle or pedals, but I do have alternatives for anyone who needs them. The bike is in excellent condition, never raced or wrecked. Just one or two small paint chips as you would expect.

I'm asking $2,850, which I think is a good deal when you consider it would cost in excess of $6,500 to build the equivalent today. Anyone with questions can email me, or call me.
